Position Summary The Assistant Project Manager, Energy will assist the Energy Project Manager in the planning, execution, and delivery of energy-related projects, including energy efficiency upgrades, renewable energy installations (solar, etc.), building decarbonization, and infrastructure improvements in NYC facilities. The role involves coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, managing project budgets and schedules, and conducting client-facing activities. The selected candidate would be responsible for supporting Audit, Design, and Construction phase energy projects. Key Responsibilities Support project development and construction management activities. Assist in coordinating project activities with both internal and external teams Support team in planning work and developing solutions to technical problems Track project performance, risks, change orders, and reporting on budgets, timelines, and energy savings. Support multiple projects at once, ranging from small-scale tasks to portions of larger initiatives, working under the guidance of the Energy Project Manager or engineering staff Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mechanical or electrical) Experience: 3-7 years of project management or project support experience in energy, utilities, renewables, or construction Demonstrated success supporting energy efficiency, renewable energy, or building decarbonization projects. Experience in NYC market and familiarity with local laws (e.g., LL88, LL97) strongly preferred Experience with DCAS, NYC DOE, NYPA, or other public agencies strongly preferred Skills & Competencies: Strong project management skills and ability to work on interdisciplinary teams Ability to interpret construction documents Understanding of project development and construction process Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Proroce.), budgeting, and data analysis. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities. Problem-solving mindset Certifications (Preferred): PMP, DBIA, PE, CEM Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
