Position Summary
BB&E is currently looking for an experienced, self-motivated, and detail-oriented Operations Coordinator to support the 35th Civil Engineer Squadron (35 CES) at Misawa Air Base, Japan. This role is responsible for managing and coordinating operational activities across engineering and project support functions, ensuring efficient execution of mission requirements.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinate daily operational activities across engineering, planning, and project teams
Support mission planning and execution of tasks in alignment with 35 CES priorities
Oversee and synchronize schedules, tasking, and workflow across multiple projects
Facilitate coordination between Government stakeholders, engineers, and project managers
Support command and control (C2)-style tracking of activities, deliverables, and priorities
Monitor project timelines and ensure alignment with milestones and deadlines
Identify scheduling conflicts, resource gaps, and operational risks and recommend solutions
Assist in development of reports, briefings, and operational updates (including MSR inputs)
Support meetings, track action items, and ensure follow-through on assigned tasks
Maintain visibility of ongoing operations to ensure efficient and synchronized execution
Requirements
Key Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Government Security Clearance (NACI) is required
Knowledge: ·
Strong organizational and operational coordination skills
Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and schedules in a fast-paced environment
Experience supporting mission planning, task tracking, and execution workflows
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey concepts to diverse audiences
Software: Proficiency using MS Office software including Outlook, Word, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint and advanced Adobe skills preferred
Self-Starter: Highly motivated to improve organizational efficiency, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines autonomously
Experience & Education
• Experience: A minimum of three (3) to ten (10) years in field operations or construction management.
• Education: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction-related field.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform desk work for extended periods, including sitting and using a computer.
Ability to walk and navigate varied facilities, including construction areas and uneven terrain.
Fieldwork might require bending, stooping, and kneeling to access and inspect facilities in confined or difficult-to-reach areas.
