Project Engineer- Electrical Systems Manufacturing Support Engineer

Project engineer primary responsibility is a liaison to manufacturing in support of Quality issues and resolving Build issues. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Project Engineer in the LPSD [Large Power Systems Division] Electrical Systems and Controls team. This position is responsible for supporting the large engine build issues, quality issues and improve as built part traceability. The successful candidate will collaborate with manufacturing engineering to improve build efficiency and product quality. Engineering/Technologist position in the Large Engine Electrical System team. Primary responsibility is liaison to manufacturing in support of BIQ initiatives. Requirements EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor’s Degree in BS required in mechanical, agricultural, electrical, or similar engineering or engineering technology (3 years of engine design experience + internship experience (2 years). Master’s with 3 years REQUIRED SKILLS: Electrical design Knowledge Electrical troubleshooting Self Starter Excellent Organization and priority-setting skills Ability to read and interpret engineering prints and schematics Must be self-motivated with a good sense of urgency when handling assigned tasks. Good understanding of engines or electrical systems is a plus At least 2-3 years of industry or related military experience - CREO and TeamCenter experience SOFT SKILLS Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Must work and communicate extremely well with hourly assembly teams Ability to work with diverse personalities is required as this position will interface with many other departments (such as other engineering groups, operations, suppliers, marketing, supply chain, and customer service) Ability to multi-task and work with a team of individuals of diverse backgrounds.
