We are seeking qualified candidates for a Project Manager (Owner’s Representative) to support complex capital projects working in LaBella’s Program Management Services Division working out of our Columbia, SC office.
The Program Management Services Division at LaBella provides clients with comprehensive management services for complex projects and multi-year capital programs. Project teams are established to provide a customized mix of business consulting, project management, financial control and monitoring, administrative, and technical support services
The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
The Project Manager will represent the Owner and ensure successful delivery of projects overseeing capital projects by maintaining schedule, budget, scope, and quality—while fostering strong communication across all project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Execution
Serve as the primary point of contact between the client and contractors
Lead and coordinate all project phases, including initiation, planning, execution, commissioning, and closeout
Collaborate with clients, design teams, contractors, and vendors to define project goals and resolve challenges
Lead project meetings, prepare reporting tools, and present project status and performance updates
Build and maintain strong working relationships with owners, subcontractors, and stakeholders
Budget, Schedule & Quality Oversight
Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, procurement, safety, and quality control processes
Monitor project performance, document progress, and manage risks, scope changes, and contract disputes
Conduct regular site visits to verify safety, compliance, and construction quality.
Documentation & Compliance
Manage project documentation including submittals, RFIs, change orders and site inspection reports
Ensure all construction activities comply with state and local building codes, project specifications and safety standards
Oversee commissioning activities to ensure Owner requirements are met

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
5-10 years of construction project management experience, ideally with ground‑up and/or facility renovation projects in healthcare, education, or municipal markets
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, contracts, and building codes
Understanding of facility and MEP systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction software
Exceptional leadership, organization, communication, and problem‑solving skills
Professional Engineer License and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
