Our Transmission group is currently looking to add a Project Manager to our growing team, based in Winnipeg, MB.
Reporting to the Vice President, Transmission Operations, we are seeking an experienced leader who has knowledge and experience in planning, executing, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, coordinating with external stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Please Note: This position requires on-site presence up to 75% of the time, including the possibility of extended shifts at various sites across Canada.
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee and manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget
Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs, quality, and lead times
Develop and implement project strategies and objectives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute projects
Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance management to project team members
Negotiate contracts with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to secure favorable terms and conditions
Manage procurement processes and maintain strong vendor relationships
Resolve any construction-related issues and make timely decisions to keep projects on track
Report regularly on project financial performance to senior management
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, regulatory agencies, and partners
Ensure effective communication and collaboration among all project stakeholders
Requirements
Post-Secondary education in a related field
10 years of proven Project Management experience leading Linear Construction Projects
Demonstrated experience with high voltage Powerline Transmission projects up to 500kv
Demonstrated process standardization / improvement experience
Experience in Business Development
Preferred Skills / Qualifications
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Experience working in multiple regulatory jurisdictions across Canada
