Our Land group is currently looking to add a ROW Project Coordinator to our growing team, based in Edmonton, AB.
Reporting to the ROW Program Manager, we are seeking a highly organized and proactive professional to support both office and field operations in the development of ROW bid scopes of work, estimates, and operational & project activities. This position works to identify and execute activities proactively while ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
Duties and Responsibilities
Review RFPs and supporting documentation
Prepare estimating scopes of work for ROW activities
Develop clarification questions and support bid development with metrics, estimates, and vendor pricing
Source vendors and obtain quotes for materials and services
Review and track subcontractor invoices; ensure accuracy, proper cost coding, and timely processing
Utilize GIS tools and spatial data (e.g., shapefiles, maps, layers) to support ROW planning, field operations, and reporting
Collaborate with GIS staff/consultants to maintain and update spatial data and outputs
Identify, develop, implement, and maintain processes, procedures, templates, and supporting tools to improve efficiency
Configure and maintain field hardware/software and support ongoing technology needs
Assist with coordinating internal and external IT resources and consultants
Train field and office staff on systems, tools, and processes
Leverage data from multiple sources to produce and maintain reports
Provide operational support to field and office teams, including oversight of Project Administrators
Support issue tracking and resolution
Perform other duties as required
Requirements
Post-Secondary education in construction, environmental science, forestry, engineering, business, or a related field
Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of education
3 years of experience in a coordination or project support role within a related industry
Strong ability to interpret and distill complex information into clear, concise summaries for executive level review
Solid understanding of financial processes, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project)
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Preferred Skills / Qualifications
Experience with ROW activities (clearing, access, reclamation)
Exposure to GIS tools (e.g., QGIS or similar)
Ability to interpret and work with spatial data
