Job Description: Join the KPFF Lacey team as a motivated, energetic, and experienced Senior Project Manager with at least eight years of experience and a strong background in managing civil engineering projects ensuring they are delivered to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will be accomplished in site development, civil engineering, project management, and planning. Project Managers are a key member of our design teams, and exhibit strong leadership, time management, and communication skills to pursue, develop, and execute projects. In this role, you’ll not only refine your existing expertise in civil engineering, but also mentor other engineers with technical knowledge, research, design, permitting, and construction management. This position provides opportunities to work on a variety of projects for both public agencies and private developers which include: Commercial Site Development Parks and Recreation Facilities Multi-family / Residential Development Water Systems Sewer Lift Stations Roadway Infrastructure Municipal Institutions Public Works Infrastructure and Redevelopment Staff Augmentation Our Project managers are accountable for project coordination, quality control, and ensuring projects are completed effectively to meet client expectations. General project tasks that our project managers perform are as follows: Proven capability to work dynamically and effectively in a collaborative environment. Write, or review project proposals, or Statements of Qualifications  Ability to apply established engineering principles to solve problems and/or overcome obstacles using sound judgement, independent decision making, and prolonged focus Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills. Competency, accountability, and personal commitment to deliver quality work to our clients. Foster strong client relationships by actively listening to client needs, providing clear communication, and delivering customized solutions that align with their objectives Focus on client satisfaction, possess high-level communication and interpersonal skills with an interest in training, developing, and supporting staff, and have experience working in a cooperative team environment. Primary interface with clients on project coordination and design. Responsible to technical content and quality control / assurance of accuracy. Establish project fees and schedules. Track project budget and timing to ensure fulfillment of contract commitments. Provide construction administration support. Ability to communicate with contractors, and conduct site visits and inspections as necessary to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards. Physical Demands and Work Environment Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time while working on a computer, reviewing plans, or attending meetings. Occasionally, it may be required to lift objects weighing up to 15 lbs. Occasionally visiting project locations and performing field inspections which may involve walking, standing, kneeling, or navigating uneven terrain. Qualifications: B.S. Degree or higher in Civil Engineering At least 8 years of experience as a Civil Project Manager P.E. License in Washington State Knowledge of codes, regulations, and standards applicable to the design and construction of major site development projects in Washington Permitting experience with various municipalities Ability to manage multiple active projects concurrently Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaborative skills are essential Competency, accountability, and personal commitment to deliver quality work to our clients, and to mentor younger staff Additional Information: Compensation The base salary for this role is competitive, with a range of $120,000 - $155,000 determined by experience, education, and skills. KPFF also offers performance-based bonuses to recognize outstanding contributions. Additional details about the full compensation package will be provided during the interview process.
